    About This Place

    Vakula Devi is the foster mother of Lord Venkateswara. As per legend, Yasoda — foster mother of Lord Krishna — was reborn as Vakula Devi in Kali Yuga to arrange the wedding of Lord Venkateswara with Padmavati.

    According to the legend, in Dvapara Yuga, Yasoda complained to Lord Krishna that she couldn't witness any of his marriages. Lord Krishna promised she would get such opportunity in Kali Yuga. In Kali Yuga, Lord Vishnu appeared as Lord Venkateswara and Yasoda was reborn as Vakula Devi to arrange his wedding with Padmavati, daughter of King Akasa Raja.
